Calcium imaging
Recording preparation, candidate regions, trace extraction, and researcher review. Specific methods are selected for the preparation.
Research & capabilities
Neuroscience imaging and analysis are our starting point. We bring processing, researcher judgment, and the history of an analysis into one connected workflow.
Current focus
Two starting modalities. A connected approach to processing, review, and provenance.
Recording preparation, candidate regions, trace extraction, and researcher review. Specific methods are selected for the preparation.
Align channels, apply correction and normalization, and compare event-aligned activity. Retain acquisition settings and method choices for researcher review.
Connect processing stages and their inputs, parameters, and derived artifacts.
Review outputs and retain the scientific reasons for acceptance, exclusion, or another analysis pass.
See scientific review in practiceKeep source data, method versions, parameters, and review decisions connected to the outputs.
Experimental design & acquisition
An analysis starts before the first processing step. Connect the experiment, the recording and the researcher’s decisions so the result retains a useful history.
01 / Experiment
Start with the scientific question and the conditions that give a recording meaning. Connect the project and preparation to the lab, instrument setup and relevant profiles.
The question and the setup belong to the same research record.
02 / Acquisition metadata
Retain channels, sampling rates, exposure, and event timestamps where relevant to the recording. Link those acquisition settings to source files and lab notes so researchers can check how the measurements were made.
Acquisition settings describe how the data were collected. Processing settings describe what happens next.
03 / Reviewed work
Select the recordings and interval needed for the question. Carry methods and parameters into processing, then connect scientific review and agreed analyses to their outputs.
Trace a result to the reviewed outputs, source recording, and acquisition settings.
Validated workflow state
A completed process becomes an accepted workflow through scientific review. Retain the technical state and the basis for acceptance, so the next analysis has a clear reference.
Recording identity, acquisition details, and the selected subset.
Workflow version, processing code, and model version where used.
The explicit settings used for this analysis.
Decisions, exclusions, and the responsible reviewer.
The accepted configuration and its relationship to later versions.
Additional neuroscience workflows are added as they are implemented and validated.
If your modality or analysis is not represented here, a conversation can establish what fits an existing workflow and what would need further development and evaluation.
How a workflow becomes operationalResearch operations
Bring acquisition records, processing jobs, and reviewed outputs into an environment your lab can operate and your institution can support.
A conversation, grounded in your work
Bring your research question, your current workflow, and the part that needs to work better.
